The Howl is known to cause all kinds of mutations, but as a general rule, the more extreme the mutation, the rarer it is for the afflicted to come out alive. All visible mutations have negative impacts socially, as they are viewed as a sign that the individual is a Grinning Cultist. No one exposed to the Howl gets only positive or neutral mutations, and almost all of the exposed become sterile. Only survivable negative mutations are noted here; presumably your dragonoid isn't going to die in a week.
All rarities are only referring to those mutations caused by the Howl; many of the mutations have alternate causes that occur naturally (eg., blindness and deafness are still natural occurrences, as are many genetic disorders common to modern humans).
This are not the only mutations that can occur, but do check in with ClyncyeRudje if you need help figuring out an unlisted mutation's rarity.
"Magic-based" mutations do not exist; all mutations should be at least loosely based in biology. Additionally, it is very rare for Cultists to come out of the Howl fertile; simply surviving alters their biology so drastically that their bodies either redirect all energy to survival or are made completely incompatible with other dragonoids.
If you have any questions, please comment with them.

Spring Prompts 2019 - Ends May 31st
Spring prompts close on May 31st; entries submitted after that point are not given the prompt bonus.
Due to the limited time to do seasonal prompts, they have a larger bonus than standard prompts.
Filling a prompt gives a flat amount of Down on top of the usual amount given per work. Note that each Dragonoid can only fill a given prompt once per person. As an example, if I used Python to fill all the prompts, I would not be able to get the prompt bonus anymore, but anyone I traded her to would.
To qualify for the prompt bonus, the prompt fill must contain the context of the prompt. While certain options have more complex or narrow scenario
Species Status Update
Due to the fact that my physical and mental health is declining to the point where I can't keep up with outputting as many adopts as an ARP group needs, I will be temporarily making the Dragonoids semi-closed.
In this instance, it means that all group members get one Common MYO just for joining and commenting on this journal (the comment is purely to help me keep track) or posting in the appropriate channel on the discord. If you've already bought or otherwise received slots, you are still eligible for the free slot. This slot can be used on both Standard and Grinning Cult Dragonoids, but you only get one.
All the usual rules for submitting
NPC Design Contest
e: Extending until March 14th due to lack of entries and the fact that things Keep Happening IRL.
For winter, let us start with a design contest!
I'm looking for NPCs to head the Tracker (from here on out this NPC will be called "Banker"), information pages ("Historian"), Contests ("Herald"), and News ("Journalist"). (The Shop's NPC is Akaatti, I'm just horribly behind on that header.)
Banker - http://colorpalettes.net/color-palette-3792/ , http://colorpalettes.net/color-palette-2269/
Historian - http://colorpalettes.net/color-palette-3676/ , http://colorpalettes.net/color-palette-3489/
Herald - http://colorpalettes.net/color-palette-2160/
MYO Contest Winner Announced
Masterlist / Dragonoid Discord / And The Earth Howls Toyhou.se world
Due to a lack of entries, there was only one winner.
SkywardtheDragon on toyhou.se won the world prize and 100 Down with their character Elezye!
There are no other entries, unfortunately, but if they existed I would have given 100 Down to all other entries as well (because now that we have A System I can actually reward people for giving it a try like I prefer to do).
